For many people an individual blog is a way of sharing family events, occasions, and holidays with relatives and friends who live far away and are unable to attend these functions. By creating an online blog everyone can share thoughts, ideas, events and pictures with anyone. One of the first things that beginning bloggers want to learn is how to upload images.
Uploading images to your blog is really a very easy process. Once you have taken your photos simply use the media up option to upload the file to your blog data base then use the upload url to include your photo on your blog or in your post such as :
Very simple to do yes, but there is one very important tip. Most people upload the images to their computer just as they were taken. Which in most cases means they have an huge image file. This MUST be resized. Remember if it takes forever to load on your page and distorts everything else your visitor’s experience will be not be a very good one.
For instance the original size of the picture above was 350 x 350 pixels. It was reduced to use in this post to 75×75. This makes the load of the page fast while still showing a nice size photo. Of course you can make your images as large as you wish. You will only be limited by the amount of space you have with your hosting package.
But remember the key to making your site visitors experience a great one is to keep it simple.

Just an added note. Most of your digital camera’s will have a photo editing program that will allow you to resize, add frames and enhance your photos.

Hi,
Found your site on “Stumbled Upon” and want to offer this suggestion.
There is also some good image re-sizer software that you can download off the internet. Some is free and some cost a few bucks. For most general use the free ones will do fine.
Great looking site by the way.
