Advertisers – meet – Bloggers

 

Large and small companies across the nation and around the world are finally getting it right…again.

Today as we see the cost of consumer goods spiraling out of control, the dollar continues to weaken against other major world currencies and of course a barrel of oil is at all time highs we find both large and small companies trying to find cost effective ways in which to reach the consumer with their products

This is creating a boom to the blogger. Not so long ago a blog was nothing more than a sort of online personal journal but today the blogger is finding himself in the spotlight. Large and small companies alike are courting the individual blogger to promote their product. Companies are being created simply to act as the agent between the blogger and the business.

So once again the business world is getting it right. They realize that one of the most effective ways to reach the consumer is by using other consumers to do so. And it works for everyone. It’s cost effective for the advertiser, it gives the blogger a chance to make a little extra money doing what he loves to do anyway which is blog.

Of course as with any new market you have those who wish to jump in and control it to make the big bucks. This new boom to the online blogger is no different. Much like the actor or pro athlete the blogger is now finding to be included in this developing industry he has to start abiding by the “rules”. Rules? What rules. I’m a blogger. “Oh yeah”, they say, “well you can still blog but you must have this piece of code place here so we can track you”, or “you must have your archives in this manner not that one”.

And of course big business is going right along with it all. Because they want one place to come to and be able to get whatever type of promotion done they need so they are not out shopping individual blogs themselves. So even as they finally start getting it right … again….they set in motion the process that will eventually bring it all down.
